Some Other Good HDSLR Resources
The DSLR Cinematography Guide isn't the only DSLR resource in town, and since a lot of No Film School readers are DSLR shooters, I thought I'd share some other good resources for learning how to shoot with hybrid cameras.
- First up is the B&H HDSLR Guide, which might remind you of my own guide. They've got a lot of good info and even more products (as you can imagine, given it's B&H).
- Another good resource is Learning DSLR Video's Getting Started Guide, which answers a lot of FAQs, such as "What are All The .THM Files and Can I Delete Them?" and "Understand Auto Lighting Optimizer."
- Robin Schmidt aka El Skid has a Moron's Guide to DSLRs (hover over the menu entry up top for the different sections).
- Finally, DSLR originator Dan Chung has just released his DSLR Video On Assignment training DVD, which differs from other training DVDs (like Philip Bloom's 5D and 7D training videos) in that it's designed specifically for newsmen and journalists.
All of these are worth a look; hope they're helpful. Any other good HDSLR guides I'm missing?
