Peter makes an interesting point about locking yourself into certain technical creative decisions while shooting. For example, on From Hell they did several sequences in a way photochemically that couldn't be changed later to prevent the studio from requesting changes. All the technology we have access to these days seems to often promote making decisions in post-production, which is a double-edged sword of usefulness and indecision. Peter has some interesting thoughts on this dilemma -- traditionally being a 'film guy' up until he recently started shooting Digital 3D.
