These firmware updates actually unleash new features for your cameras, notably allowing the new Canon C300 Mark II to record up to 60fps RAW or ProRes.

Updates below:

Odyssey RAW Bundle:

  • Opens up support for 9 cameras, including the AJA CION
  • Support added as cameras are released
  • Apple ProRes 4K/UHD will be possible up to 60p and 2K/HD will be possible up to 240p (HQ, 422 & LT)
  • Allows recording 2 separate ProRes signals simultaneously
  • $995 to own
  • $100 / day to own

Monitoring Functions:

  • Custom 3D LUTs, supporting 9x9x9, 17x17x17, 35x35x35 etc converted to binary (protected)
  • Store 200+ LUTs at a time
  • Apply LUTs to SDI 1, SDI 2 or HDMI
  • Dual Color Zebras
  • False Color Mode with pink color and customizable colors

Dual-Stream Recording:

  • When streaming 2 HD signals simultaneously, one signal will become recordable (at no additional cost)

SSD's:

  • Support added for Samsung 850EVO 500gb / 1tb SSDs

Sony FS700 users:

  • 4K RAW Burst -> 4K/UHD Apple ProRes up to 120p
  • Future support will include Sony F5/F55 4K/UHD (up to 120fps)

Canon users:

  • Canon C300 Mark II is already supported, allowing 4K up to 60fps in RAW / ProRes (internally only 30fps)
  • Future support will include Canon C500 4K RAW, Canon C500 HD video (up to 120fps)
