Get 6 Feet of Extension for DJI Osmo's Most Dangerous Shots
The cable extension allows for remote control of the head and the ability to get shots previously impossible or unsafe.
You know a product is successful when you start seeing aftermarket accessories pop up for it. Kamerar is first out of the gate with some interesting and very cost-effective options for extending the functionality of DJI Osmo stabilizers. Back in June, the company released a fixed 22" Baton for $80 that still allowed for full pan/tilt control of the camera with the main handle, while the stabilized Osmo head extended out on the end of the stick, allowing for some pretty interesting camera moves in a very small package.
Combined with a DJI Osmo +, you have an $800, 4K, 120fps, zoom-capable remote operable camera.

Building on that, Kamerar is now releasing a cable, shipping this October, for treating the DJI Osmo as a remote head. It allows you to use the control stick up to 6 feet away while maintaining use of the built-in controls. The remote also features a standard 1/4-20 threaded hole—the same as on the bottom of most smaller cameras—for attaching the Osmo stabilized head to a variety of mounting positions. You can mount it to the end of a jib, suction cup it to the outside of a car, or sneak it into the back of a refrigerator while fully controlling the camera's operation from a distance.
You can, of course, also operate the camera remotely over wifi on your iOs or Android device, but the physical controls of the handle offer more intuitive and precise operating and if you can cable to the remote head for control. (You'll likely appreciate doing so.)

Combined with a DJI Osmo +, you have an $800, 4K, 120fps (in HD), zoom-capable remote operable camera with which you should be able to get some pretty darn fascinating shots. In our dream world, multiple cables can be able to be connected for longer runs, though that seems unlikely.
Shipping this October for an anticipated price of $150 from Kamerar. The baton is available now from B & H.
