The Audience Awards keep on proving themselves as an invaluable resource for the eager filmmaker. This year, they've put out a serious number of contests for any director looking to make a quick buck (their five day Fusion Doc Challenge is happening now.) For their latest challenge, the platform has partnered with GoDaddy.com to put on the Small Business Stories online video contest.

The challenge, which will award $21,500 in cash prizes, asks documentarians to create 1-2 minute films that shine a light on small businesses and the people who start them. From Audience Awards:

Point your camera at those diligent, passionate human beings brave enough to start a small business and tell their unique story, as only filmmakers can, about the triumph and heartbreak that comes with investing heart and soul into making a small business work.

The contest is free to enter, but you must have an Audience Awards account to apply. Anyone may submit to this contest, but videos will be judged for admittance into the contest before audience and jury voting opens.

The contest opens November 14, 2016, and submissions close on February 13, 2017. Audience and preliminary jury voting opens February 14, 2017, and closes February 21, 2017. From the first round, the top 10 as voted by audiences and the top 10 preliminary jury selections will move on to the final round, to be judged by a GoDaddy panel of jurors. Final Jury winners will be announced on February 23, 2017.

The prizes breakdown like this:

1st Place Jury Award: $10,000

2nd Place Jury Award: $3,000

3rd Place Jury Award: $1,500

7 Honorable Mention Awards: $1,000 Each
