Tired of going to networking event after networking event and never getting any solid results? Finally, Zacuto USA has given us a productive way to tell people about what inspired us to get into film! The camera accessory company announced their My Story Film Competition, centered around making a 60-second video that illustrates the moment you knew you wanted to be a filmmaker.

Zacuto asks: How did you become a filmmaker? Were you inspired by a certain film or by listening to a filmmaker speak? Was it while holding your first camera or watching a friend laugh at your YouTube video?

Of course, the key here will be to tell your story in the most innovative way possible. The genre, style and storytelling devices you choose will be what separate you from the pack. Think out of the box for this one; they aren't looking for dramatic re-enactments.

If you win, the prize package gives you virtually everything you'll need for your next film (aside from a camera or lens.) Zacuto has partnered with Adobe, Cartoni, Kessler, Kyno, Portabrace, Premiumbeat, Rocketstock, Rode, Rotolight, Studiobinder, and Vid-Atlantic to provide aspiring filmmakers with the foundation to get started creating content.
