The annual enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act insurance plans here in the U.S. takes place between Nov. 1 and Dec. 15 on Healthcare.gov. You might not have heard about the ACA enrollment period this year because the Trump administration has slashed the advertising budget for the open enrollment period by 90% compared with last year.

Grassroots efforts to get the word out about the ACA open enrollment period have sprouted up all over social media, and now some heavy hitters in the film and television industry are using their social media accounts to broadcast these ads to their followers.

Earlier today, playwright/screenwriter/producer Beau Willimon (House of CardsThe Ides of March) launched the idea on Twitter:

With 149K followers, Willimon's tweet was certainly a good start, but an assist from a Twitter superuser would certainly help. Enter Patton Oswalt with his 4.24 million followers:

So, if you're looking for a short, creative project with a little bit of social action thrown in, go ahead and create a grassroots PSA for the ACA open enrollment period and have it spread far and wide on Twitter, thanks to Oswalt, Willimon, and their followers. Share your ad with Willimon and Oswalt on Twitter, and they will retweet it.
