Schneider Optics showed us all of its newest filters on the market. This year, they came out with the new Soft Diffusion Filter and, its answer to glimmer glass, the Radiant Soft Filter. This filter has the sparkle of glimmer glass but maintains contrast and reduces halation. These are available in 1/4, 1/2, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 densities in 4x5.6 for $365 each. The company also released its Rainbow Streak Filter which provides colored flares, giving the look of vintage uncoated anamorphic lenses. Its newest product, which was revealed at NAB, is the True Net Filter, which means no more stretching stockings over your lens. Schneider has created these filters in three different colors with varying densities.
- Black in 3 densities
- Beige in 2 densities
- Grey in 2 densities
This provides consistency day to day whenever you use this effect, so keep your stockings on your legs and filters in your matte box.
