Bradley Cooper is far from the shallow now.

When it comes to film-associated guild awards, we've got you covered, having literally covered nominations for the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Writers Guild (WGA), Producers Guild (PGA), and now the Directors Guild (DGA) awards.

This afternoon, the DGA announced its 2019 nominees, honoring the very best directorial achievements of the previous year. Separated by two categories (Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film and Outstanding Directorial Achievement of a First-Time Feature Film Director), the DGA often matches up five-for-five with the impending Academy Awards' Best Director nominees, so this is an announcement to take seriously.

Several filmmakers received their very first DGA nominations earlier today, including Peter Farrelly and (shockingly, given the length of his career) Spike Lee, while Bradley Cooper scored in both categories for his feature debut, A Star is Born. Alfonso Cuarón, a previous winner in his category for Gravity, picked up another nomination, this time for Roma. Sadly, no women were nominated in either of the two categories.

The DGA Awards will take place on February 2nd, 2019. For a full list of this year's nominees, scroll down below.
