I'm still hot and bothered over the Academy Awards performance of Shallow, as I am sure many of you are as well. Now, the inspiration for the character of Jackson Maine, Eddie Vedder, has jumped into the spotlight again, covering Maybe it's Time.

Cooper recently revealed that Vedder was not only a consultant on the movie but also who he modeled his character over. Cooper,  told Yahoo Entertainment“I went up to Seattle and spent four or five days with him and I asked him 9,000 questions...He gave me minor, little things that only musicians know about what to do, just aesthetically and the inner workings.”

During these interactions, Cooper not only learned about life as a rock star but also little musician techniques and tricks to make his character seem more authentic. Cooper says that Vedder was “wonderful,” but added that the singer advised him that doing the movie (and singing within it) may not be a good idea. Cooper said: “He thought it was crazy I was going to do this movie...He was like, ‘What? Bro, don’t do that.'”

But Cooper must have done an okay-job. Because Vedder recently covered the Star is Born song in concert.

Eddie Vedder performed at Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona, and during his set, he covered Maybe It’s Time, a song written by Jason Isbell and performed by Bradley Cooper for A Star Is Born. After learning of Vedder’s cover, Jason Isbell tweeted:

Check out Vedder's cover of the song below.
