First Images of Leica Q2 Leaked Along with Rumored Announcement Date
Let’s take a peek at the Leica Q2 and everything we know about it so far…
While this news might be most exciting to the on-set photographers on film shoots, the Leica Q has been a very popular and highly reviewed camera over the last four years. And - believe it or not - it’s quite a capable video camera to boot.
From the sleuths at Nokishita once again, we have the first leaked images of the highly anticipated follow up to the Leica Q - the Leica Q2 - along with some rumored information about its new sensor, waterproof design and announcement date.
The Leica Q2
The headlines regarding this leaked Leica Q2 have to be the increase resolution capabilities from 24MPs to a 47MP sensor which should bring the Q2 up to 4K video recording. The Leica Q2 also promises to address concerns with a more water and dust proof design (as seen in the soaky photo of the Q2 leaked) for more rough-and-tumble build.
Leica Q2 Announcement Date
While we don’t have any details about a rumored price yet, the current Leica Q is sitting currently at a price point of $4,195, so the Q2 will most probably be at that point or slightly higher.
We’ll find out more as Leica is set to make its official announcement regarding the Q2 on March 6th, 2019.
