Aputure has announced its Accent B7c battery-operated 7W RGBWW color-mixing LED lightbulb is officially available in kit form that comes with 8 bulbs and a hard shell carrying case to store, protect, and charge each fixture.

The Accent B7c 8-Light Kit is made for owner-operators, lighting technicians, and rental houses.

When filming larger scenes, lighting technicians often need more than one practical to fill out an environment. With the B7c 8-Light Kit, one or two cases will provide almost any set with enough fixtures to finesse their lighting design. These practical lightbulbs are designed for the needs of cinematographers and lighting technicians who care about the details.

Unlike consumer LED bulbs, the B7c lights feature flicker-free dimming up to 1,000fps, a wider CCT range, and the ability to link and control multiple fixtures without using a wireless router or hub. The B7c is also the first-ever lightbulb to feature onboard dimming and CCT controls, as well as a built-in battery.

Using the same color mixing technology as the Nova P300c, the B7c uses the same 2,000K-10,000K color temperature and professional color reproduction with the ability to achieve an SSI score as high as 85 in tungsten. The B7c utilizes a 7W LED output to create a 50W household tungsten light bulb equivalent.

Unique to the Accent B7c is its built-in battery, allowing it to run for over 70 minutes at maximum output. The B7c also has onboard control buttons, making toggling between CCT presets and adjusting brightness easy. With Sidus Link Bluetooth App compatibility, you can easily control multiple B7c bulbs from a smartphone or iPad, unlocking the B7c’s fine-tunable color and programmable FX capabilities.

This combination of features means lighting technicians can insert a light into the scene in seconds or link it to the Sidus Link mobile app for greater control. The custom hardshell case houses eight bulbs, and an AC power input to charge all the bulbs while sitting inside the case.

The case is also designed for speed and ease-of-use, with a safe push-pull mechanism for the lamp sockets. The B7c 8-Light Kit ensures that any filmmaker can be ready to implement unique accent lights in any environment, whether or not there is available power.

The Aputure B7c 8-Light Kit is priced at $799 and is available now.
