Aputure Debuts Two Tunable LED Light Panels Along With New Modifiers and Accessories
Here’s everything you need to know about the Aputure NOVA 9º and Aputure NOVA II 1x1 and how these can be helpful LED light panel options for your shoots.

Aputure LED Light Panels
You can’t reinvent the wheel, so to speak, but you can (apparently) reinvent the panel light. Or, at least, that’s what Aputure is aiming to do with these two new NOVA panel fixtures. Aputure has presented two new additions to the company’s panel lineup.
Filmmakers and videographers can now build their sunbeam with the NOVA 9° 2x1, a hyper-narrow beam panel with an Extended BLAIR light engine, or use the NOVA 9° 2x1 3-Light Kit with its three panels in an array with a shallow footprint.
Here’s what you need to know about these new LED light panel options.
Aputure NOVA 9° 2x1 Tunable White LED Light Panel
Designed for those looking to throw light across great distances, the NOVA 9° 2x1 Tunable White LED Light Panel is an expansion of the NOVA series that will feature 650W of power output and a native, extremely tight 9° beam angle that can produce up to 29,730 lux at 16.4' (5600K).
Ideally a great solution for filmmakers in need of crisp, directional lighting and long-throw illumination, the NOVA 9° 2x1 color temperature is variable from a wide 1800 to 20,000K range for creative control.
The main selling point for the NOVA 9° 2x1, though, has to do with its Aputure BLAIR chipset, which will feature blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red diodes. This lensed LED fixture will also be able to offer four horizontal pixel zones for ultra-smooth pixel effect transitions and advanced white point control with green/magenta color correction.

Aputure NOVA 9° 2x1 Tunable White LED Light Panel

Throw light across great distances with the NOVA 9° 2x1 Tunable White LED Light Panel from Aputure.
Aputure NOVA II 1x1 Tunable Color LED Light Panel
Alongside the NOVA 9° 2x1, Aputure has also unveiled the high-performance NOVA II 1x1 Tunable Color LED Light Panel as a 500W LED solution for cinematographers, gaffers, and lighting technicians looking for precision and power in a more compact lighting body.
Users will be able to find the same color accuracy and the professional features of the larger NOVA II 2x, but this will be in a smaller form factor that keeps a weather-sealed design.
Similar to the NOVA 9° 2x1, at the core of this NOVA II lies the Aputure BLAIR-CG chipset that makes the NOVA II 1x1 a versatile full-color LED panel for professional film, television, and broadcast lighting environments.
Additionally, the light uses high CRI-, TLCI-, TM-30-, SSI-, and CQS-rated LEDs to render colors with optimal accuracy. Color is offered from 1800 to 20,000K, meaning you can take creative control of the color range, along with plus/minus green shift, to achieve great color precision.
