Atomos has released firmware version 10.64 for the Ninja V, which adds support for white balance and ISO metadata for Final Cut Pro users. With the updates, shooters can now adjust slider settings to further tune your image in post.

Atomos has been on a tear recently with the introduction of the Ninja V Pro Kit, the 8K Ninja V+, and Ninja Stream. Out of the trio of releases, the Pro Kit is our favorite for existing users as it adds the ability to capture recorded video through SDI. With the Ninja V+, you are getting the ability to record 8K external as well as 4K 120p. For indie shooters, the $1,499 price tag might be worth the extra features.

The good news though is that Atomos has said it will continue to support the Ninja V. With version 10.64 comes good news for one of the more popular setups for indie filmmakers, wedding photographers, and content creators: a Sony a7S III paired with the Ninja V. With the addition of the new metadata, FCP editors have access to better camera and color control when editing ProRes RAW video.
