Blackmagic Design’s New HyperDeck ISO Recorder Brings 100G Ethernet to the Masses
Blackmagic Design goes all in on live production at NAB 2026, and the new HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G is here to help users record up to 8 separate channels onto high-speed network storage.

Always one of the booths at NAB 2026 in Las Vegas with a lot going on, Blackmagic Design rolled out over a dozen new cameras, products, and updates this year. The booth was a buzz, and there was a ton to check out. This year’s theme for Blackmagic Design, at least in the non-video editing side, was live production as the company rolled out two new live production cameras.
However, you need more than cameras for live production, and Blackmagic Design also announced a HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G, a new SMPTE 2110 IP video recorder with 100G Ethernet that lets users record all their cameras for live production. Let’s take a look at what it offers.
Blackmagic Design HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G
Designed to use a single 100G Ethernet connection to connect all 8 video channels, this is a nice option for crews looking to use DaVinci Resolve for live-action replay or to simply record high-quality Apple ProRes video to network storage via 100G Ethernet.
"This HyperDeck is the most advanced recorder we have ever designed. Everything about it is different! But the most exciting use for it is live action replay. We can record 8 channels of Ultra HD video in only 2 rack units. This is dramatically smaller and lower cost than anything possible in the past." - Grant Petty, Blackmagic Design CEO.
This new HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G, at its heart, is a 2 RU SMPTE 2110 broadcast recorder tailored for diverse multicamera live productions and capable of supporting high-bandwidth IP workflows. This means it’s able to record up to eight channels of 10-bit 4:2:2 video at resolutions up to DCI 4K60, as well as provide uninterrupted recording across dual network paths, all while supporting 16 channels of embedded audio per stream.
