Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP 100G
Is this the perfect capture and playback for 2110 IP broadcast systems? Blackmagic Design is willing to bet that it could be for you, as the company has announced that its DeckLink IP 100G is now available and capable of supporting up to 8 channels of simultaneous Ultra HD capture and playback on Windows and Linux, and 4 channels on Mac.
Here’s what you need to know about this capture and playback for 2110 IP broadcast systems.
The Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP 100G
Designed to be one of the easiest ways to capture and play back video directly into 2110 IP-based broadcast systems, the DeckLink IP 100G supports multiple video channels, with each channel capturing and playing back simultaneously.
For those looking for capture and playback support, this means you can build racks of servers generating broadcast graphics, virtual sets, or GPU-based AI image processing, all directly integrated into 2110 IP broadcast infrastructure.
What’s cool about this system, too, is that it can be used with DaVinci Resolve for 2110 IP-based broadcast editing workstations, and it will also feature a high-speed PCIe connection, so it will work on the latest Mac Pro, Windows, and Linux computers.

Supports all SD, HD, and Ultra HD Standards to 2160p60
Along with 10G Ethernet for multiple SMPTE 2110 IP channels and a built-in video firewall for total IP network security, both nice perks of the DeckLink IP 100G, the system will also support all SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats, depending on the model, of course.
On top of that, the DeckLink IP/SDI model will support both 2110 IP and 3G-SDI, enabling it to connect to SDI equipment while simultaneously connecting to new IP-based infrastructure.
For those looking to work in standard definition, the DeckLink IP supports both 525i59.94 and 625i50. And for those looking for HD, all DeckLink IP cards will support 720p, 1080i, and 1080p standards up to 1080p60. Ultra HD options will also get support for all standards up to 2160p60.
