We stopped by the Cmotion booth at CineGear 2019 to check out an intriguing piece of gear, the Cinefade ND system. What it does is allows you to control your camera system's iris with Cmotion's Cpro lens control system to adjust the depth-of-field of your shot all while Cinefade keeps your exposure constant.

So, with Cinefade, you can go from shallow to deep depth-of-field without having to worry about adjusting your exposure...essentially depth-of-field racking.

Here's a video from Cmotion that demonstrates the crazy things this variable ND filter can do.

The Cinefade system is already shipping and costs about $9000.
