In a recent interview with Sky One’s There’s Something About Movies, Strong was asked if had ever really messed up an audition. His answer was—ironic, to say the least.

“I went up for a villain in a Bond movie [in the] Pierce Brosnan era... to celebrate I went out for a drink and I got pissed," he told Sky One. "I overdid it and the next day I was severely hungover.”

Strong continued and revealed he couldn't remember a single line during the audition. He says he got extremely sweaty and pretty much froze up entirely.

If you've ever been in an audition room before, you know how embarrassing and uncomfortable this can be as a performer.

Though, the story isn't finished.

“But the irony was, the guy I was out the night before getting pissed with was Daniel Craig. So I blame him!” Strong said.

What are the odds, right? Of course, these were in two different eras. But it's still a wild coincidence!

The two star-studded actors were and have been long-time close friends, so I think it's safe to say there isn't any bad blood between them. Strong's reaction to this traumatic event was also very productive. He used it as a learning experience and probably hasn't made the same mistake since.

It's a great lesson for any actor or performer—preparation is everything.

What do you think of this story? Did you want to see Strong as a Bond villain?
