Check Out This Video on What Every Filmmaker Should Know About Lenses
This Lens video will refresh your memory on the science of lenses.

Josh Quillin created this video about Lenses so people don't need to ask the basic questions.

You might not be a cinematographer, or even in a camera crew, but that doesn't mean it isn't helpful to know exactly how lenses work! Any filmmaker in any department of the crew can benefit from knowing the basics. Shockingly these aren't even things you'll learn in every film school.

But that's what we're here for.

when we talk about cinema lens we have to say that there is T stop and the focus and zoom ring has longer rotation... on cinema lenses you can change the aperture manually also in zoom lenses and when you change focus you don't have optic groups moving forward and backward... sorry for my bad english
