Filmsupply has officially announced Editfest 2026, its annual 30-day editing competition designed to showcase the world's best editorial talent.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an emerging filmmaker, Editfest offers a unique sandbox to experiment with world-class footage and compete for a massive payoff that taps in at $65,000 in prizes as well as mentorship.
The Challenge: 30 Days to Make Your Mark
Editfest focuses on the mastery of the craft. Participants are tasked with creating a high-impact piece using Filmsupply’s cinematic library across three distinct categories:
- Title Sequence: Set the mood and tease the journey. The goal is to create a sequence so compelling it’s impossible to skip.
- Advertisement: Identify a problem, present a solution, and compel action—all within a tight, professional framework.
- Trailer: Practice the art of restraint. Draw the audience into a world and hint at the conflict without giving away the ending.
What’s on the Line?
This is the good stuff. Winners across the three main categories (plus the People’s Choice award) will split over $65,000 in prizes.
