I've been waiting for my owl for over 30 years. It's almost my birthday again, and this time, I know I'll be going to Hogwarts no matter what, COVID-19 or not! That's because the coronavirus has shifted even the coursework at Hogwarts online. No word yet on Mandrakes being used as a cure.

A motley group of impassioned Potter fans has created an entire online courseload set to mimic what happens each Hogwarts semester.

Hogwarts is Here allow you to enroll in courses and stay connected with Potter fans while sheltering at home.

As the website says, "A group of creative, passionate Harry Potter fans got together and built an online wizarding world social network where thousands of fans can come together online. It's Real for Us - and it'll feel real to you, too. Welcome to Hogwarts is Here."

Classes include Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potion, and History of Magic. The open course directory allows fans to explore the material at their own pace. If you want, you can even complete real assignments graded by the team’s Hogwarts professors and earn house points in the process.

Yeah...I have a feeling I wouldn't do great on my O.W.Ls.

You get to choose your character, house and socialize with your friends at school.

It's an incredible way for anyone to use their imagination.

If you want something more structured and sanctioned by the Minister of Magic herself, then J.K. Rowling has something special for you.

She's launched this new branch of her Wizarding World website with one goal:

"We know that everyone is trying to keep safe at home at the moment and so, with J.K. Rowling and our friends at Audible, Bloomsbury, OverDrive, Pottermore Publishing and Scholastic, we are delighted to introduce Harry Potter At Home to help children, parents, carers and teachers add a touch of Harry Potter magic to our new daily lives."

They are giving away the first audiobook in the Harry Potter Franchise for free and offering lots of other resources to parents and teachers who want to keep their kids entertained.

It's been amazing to see the world come together over this cause.

We don't need magic to get through this, we just need each other.
