Club culture is just as bizarre and fun as the world of filmmaking. Now, our favorite weirdo, David Lynch, has become the inspiration for a new club in Ibiza, Spain.

El Silencio is everything you could have dreamed of as a kid.  Filled with absurd and shock-inducing decorations like huge fabric tentacles, giant lips, and swings, the wild interior of the club was designed by Miranda Makaroff, a Spanish artist with a knack for brightly colored surrealism. The club has a wide range of food, cocktails, music, and Instagramable installations.

While Lynch isn't directly affiliated with the club, his name has been tied to the project, which has made El Silencio a hot topic among Lynch fans.

Strangely enough, this isn’t Lynch's first time being tied to a surrealist nightclub. In 2011, Club Silencio opened up in Paris. The club was heavily inspired by Lynch’s film Mulholland Drive, and Lynch even had a hand in the club’s interior design. Club Silencio is described to be like a cinematic, members-only type club with its concert hall, library, and cinema. El Silencio is a lot less formal than Club Silencio with its bright primary colors and undersea aesthetic.

Both clubs are extremely outrageous in their ways, but I feel like I am speaking for everyone when I say that I would go to either one. Whether it’s watching Psycho in a club’s cinema or eating toasted focaccia under blue tentacles, we will be experiencing major FOMO from this side of the Pacific.

Let us know in the comments if you would go to this Lynchian club!
