The EOS R8 Mark II will also feature some fun new internal creative modes available in the SCN (special scene) setting on the camera’s mode dial, which will give shooters easy access to a set of 14 automated presets ideal for specific use cases as well as positive and negative filmtone modes for recreating some of your favorite classic film looks.

6K-Oversampled UHD 4K Video

As far as video specs go, the R8 Mark II can provide 6K-oversampled UHD 4K video at up to 60p with 10-bit color, available in-camera and ideal for a wide range of content capture situations.

The camera will also be able to capture slow-motion in Full HD at up to 180p, plus offer some helpful advanced color grading perks like Canon Log 3 and 14 stops of dynamic range available in the Custom Picture mode.

It also offers HDR video options, Canon 709, and BT.709 Standard for simpler workflows, plus a red tally lamp on the side of the camera so vloggers or subjects know when recording is in progress.
