What better way to appreciate the beauty of Mank than while listening to the epic soundtrack?

David Fincher’s new movie comes out in December and Netflix has a put out a"secret" website that showcases its soundtrack and behind-the-scenes stills.

It's pretty much only a secret in name only, but it's still wonderful to experience.

The soundtrack was written by frequent Fincher collaborators Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. They went for the 1930s movie vibe instead of their usual digital masterpieces. It's similar to the music heard in the teaser and full trailer.

Some have called it an old-school Hollywood vibe, which I get. I think it's somewhat lyrical, like we're being transported back in time.

The website contains around 11 minutes of the score juxtaposed against 200 stills from the movie. Mixed in are production and set photos as well. You're really allowed to steep in the wonder of the world and the production this way.

Mank will debut on Netflix (and in theaters) on December 4th. The teaser site is called “The White Wine Came Up With The Fish” and I encourage you to check it out.

I think this is part of their Academy Awards push, and it is definitely working on me.
