When it comes to replicating a theatrical experience for mobile, it's not just the display size that suffers. Audio does as well. Apple aims to change this with the inclusion of spatial audio for AirPods Pro which will simulate a surround sound experience through the earbuds using direction audio algorithms.
Spatial audio will activate automatically when you watch content with Dolby 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. The new feature will allow you to experience sound that's much closer to a theatrical experience.
Additionally, with iOS 14, AirPods will automatically connect to the device that you are currently using. So if you're watching a movie on your iPad or iPhone, the AirPods will know. These new features will be enabled when using Apple devices running the new operating systems.
