The wait for Barbie is almost over. The blonde fashion doll is making her live-action debut this Friday, and we couldn't be more excited for the candy-colored world of Barbieland that Greta Gerwig and her amazing team have brought to life.
Recently, Gerwig revealed to Letterboxd the 33 movies that she drew inspiration from when crafting the visual language of her film. The official Baribe watchlist ranges from candy-colored films like An American in Paris and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg to the gritty realism of '70s cinemain films like Saturday Night Fever and The Godfather.
