Netflix and Adobe have teamed up to bring new stories to life in "The Great Untold" contest. Storytellers can pitch their idea for a chance to win a $10,000 grant, access Adobe experts and Adobe tools, and be paired with a mentor during the creative process.

"The Great Untold" is all about creativity. Participants can pitch their story through TikTok or WhatsYourGreatUntold.com by June 13, 2021, and three winners will be selected and made into short films. Besides the cash to jump-start your project, each participant will be paired with a mentor. Contest mentors include playwright, filmmaker, and author David Talbert, producer, author, and costume designer, Lyn Sisson-Talbert, and Ryan O’Connell, lead actor in the Netflix series, Special.

What's great about this contest is that Adobe and Netflix will provide access to the equipment, tools, and crew needed to start production, while local communities will be invited to participate as film set crew, wardrobe, extras, and more.

In addition, the short films from the creators will feature alongside a behind-the-scenes style docu-series that will showcase the creative process, documented by Nadia Hallgren, director of the Netflix Michelle Obama documentary Becoming.
