Announced today, One Perfect Shot is a new streaming series that will explore the secrets of beloved movie moments.

Narrated and executive produced by Oscar nominee Ava DuVernay, One Perfect Shot is a half-hour unscripted series produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television with DuVernay’s production company, ARRAY Filmworks.

The show is named after a popular Twitter account of the same name. Film School Rejects publisher Neil Miller, who took over One Perfect Shot in 2016, will also executive produce.

The show's concept sounds amazing. Each episode will feature a director who will walk the audience through their most iconic shots. According to HBO Max, the show will utilize new VFX tools that will allow the director to "enter" the shot and explain it in a virtual, immersive, 360-degree version of the set.

Each director will also discuss a movie shot from another film that inspired them.

"I've long wanted to create a series about the art of directing," DuVernay said in the WarnerMedia press release. "To chronicle the craft of great filmmakers is a dream come true for me and all of us at ARRAY Filmworks. We're thrilled that our partners at Warner Horizon Unscripted Television embraced this idea and look forward to fully geeking out over movies with our friends at HBO Max."
