Portkeys Has a New LH5P III On-Camera Monitor With a Rugged, But Lightweight, Design
A look at the new and improved Portkeys LH5P III, a 5.7-inch on-camera monitor with wired and wireless camera control capabilities and a rugged-slash-lightweight design.

Portkeys LH5P III
Another new on-camera monitor option is on the market, and we couldn’t be happier. These are the golden days of production monitors, as there are truly a billion to choose from, with pretty much all of them being great, versatile, and affordable.
If you’re in the market for a new on-camera monitor, or looking for more options to build out your gear closet, the new Portkeys LH5P III is another solid option with plenty of versatility, daylight-viewable brightness, and a uniquely durable yet lightweight design.
Here’s what you need to know.
The New Portkeys LH5P III
Designed to be compact, rugged, and lightweight at the same time, the new Portkeys LH5P III is another 5.7-inch on-camera monitor with wired and wireless camera control.
The Portkeys LH5P III is an HDMI-only monitor that should work on any set or in any setting, as it is fully daylight-viewable with a maximum brightness of 2,200 nits. The monitor also covers 104% P3 Color Gamut Area Ratio, and the display is Calman-calibrated with a DeltaE ≤ 1.1 in Rec.709 and a DeltaE ≤ 2.5 in P3.
As mentioned above, one of the more unique factors here is that the monitor will weigh only 235g/8.29oz (making it 18% lighter than its predecessor) and will feature a thickness of just 28.4mm/1.1in, making it about as slim and lightweight as any on-camera monitor option on the market, yet still durable and capable for most filmmaking and video needs.
