Fresh off three feature Oscar wins for Alfonso Cuarón's Roma at last night's Academy Awards, Netflix has now released a teaser trailer for its highest-profile original film to date: Martin Scorsese's The Irishman.

Based on the book I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran & Closing the Case on Jimmy Hoffa, The Irishman sees Scorsese return to his American gangster roots, while re-teaming the auteur with long-time collaborators Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Harvey Keitel. Just as exciting? The film marks the very first collaboration between Scorsese and Al Pacino, a match movie lovers have been salivating for since the 1970s.

The teaser trailer below doesn't reveal all too much (heck, not even a release date has been finalized), but it does provide the first few lines of dialogue between De Niro and Pacino, and perhaps that's enough. It also somewhat creatively has a bullet take the shape of the letter "I" in each of its four leading men's names. Points for creativity there.

Who cares what the teaser reveals? This is one of our most anticipated films of the year. The Irishman will be released in theaters and on Netflix in the fall of 2019
