Sony’s Rebate Program for College Students Cuts the Cost of Owning Gear
Here's how students and faculty can get their hands on Sony gear for a fraction of the cost.

Sony has a special rebate program for college students (studying any major) and college faculty members looking to take advantage of educational discounts of their products. Branded with the hashtag #SONYEDU, the program is also a complete educational community. Once you join, you'll have access to their newsletter, exclusive content, offers, and the growing community.
The community provides a chance to learn more about creating content with a series of educational resources and videos that cover a wide range of applicable topics.
But back to the gear!
There are tons of #SONYEDU authorized resellers. We had a chance to connect with Elliot Miller, video production manager at Liberty University, about the program and he said students have access to "basically anything you would need to make a feature film."
Miller also added that he's seen firsthand how much students in their film program are developing now, in part due to the access: "... they are getting better and better over time. Since they are exposed to such high-level sets, equipment, and knowledge of the filmmaking world, they are ready to jump right into the workforce and create high-quality videos. The film program had students go on to work on some pretty large productions."
How to Join #SONYEDU:
