The year 1997 was a great year for TV. So many great shows aired, but only the animated satire about four boys in Colorado stood the test of time. Since the show’s debut, South Park has become the third longest-running animated series of its time with 23 seasons, 309 episodes, and one full-length feature film.

If you are wanting some more South Park in your life, then show creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker might have just answered your prayers. One of the largest deals of all time with ViacomCBS has just been signed by Stone and Parker for $900 million.

Yeah, that’s right. $900 million

This $900 million deal secures six more seasons and promised 14 movies for Paramount+. This deal extends the life of the animated series through 2027 and encourages fans of the show to head over to Paramount+ streaming services to check out the future 14 movies.

The first two feature films will be out by the end of 2021 just before the celebration of the show’s 25th anniversary.

South Park has found its place in pop-culture history for its prude and on-the-nose humor that can make anyone laugh. The show has been praised for not shying away from celebrity cameos, social controversies, political scandals, and more. Since 1997, South Park has received five Primetime Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, and an Academy Award nomination. Labeled as the 10th Greatest TV Cartoon of All Time, let’s see if South Park can hold on to that label for another decade.
