Last night, the Netflix servers crashed for a few minutes after the Stranger Things season four finale dropped. People flooded online to watch the series immediately, and early reviews have been positive. One thing no one anticipated, aside from the server crash, was that they may not have seen the perfect, fully edited version of the show.

According to Collider's Steven Weintraub, the Duffer Brothers were working late into the night to perfect the episodes. That means the ones people watched right at midnight may not have had all the VFX uploaded.

Now I know what you're thinking. "How could that happen?!"

But anyone who has ever had to render a project with VFX knows how long it can take. And with Netflix's upload process, filmmakers can tinker with products for a much longer time, because they don't have to be shipped off somewhere to be released, just uploaded.

It seems like 20 or so shots may not have been in the episodes people saw last night, but they are updated now.

What version did you see? Tell us in the comments.
