The Takumi 29-120mm T2.9 cinema lens is designed for full-frame sensors and is available with an industry-standard PL mount. It joins the Takumi 40.6-332mm as the second lens in the full-frame lineup from Musashi-Opt with a fast T2.9 constant aperture across the entire range.

This Takumi carries over the same 9-blade aperture design, 136mm front diameter, and standard 0.8mm gear for focus, zoom, and iris control as its counterpart. It also covers an image circle up to 46.3mm to pair with several cameras from RED, ARRI, Sony, Canon, and Panasonic.

The 29-120mm zoom range is a wide 4.1x and offers a bit more reach than the Fujinon Premista 28-100mm T2.9. Compared to the ARRI 45-135mm T2.8 Signature Zoom and Angénieux Type EZ 1 45-135mm T3.0, you're getting a little wider end but losing 15mm on the tele side.

When it comes to optical performance and image rendition, we'll have to wait and see. You might remember the Takumi 23.9-195mm T2.9 for Super 35 that made the rounds last year. However, we can't find any footage of the lens in action. If you know of any, let us know in the comments below.

The overall length of the Takumi 29-120mm T2.9 is 370mm and it weighs approximately 16.5lbs (7.5kgs). As for price, it's unclear at this time, but availability is expected May to early June.
