Teradek CTRL.5 Wi-Fi Camera Control

Designed to facilitate precise lens control with your RT motors and receivers, the Teradek CTRL.5 3-Axis Wireless Lens Controller allows shooters to control focus, iris, and zoom better. The CTRL.5 features multiple forms of communication integrated into the system that allow for a wireless range of 5000' with compatible RT devices or 500' via 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 6.

Users can directly connect to a monitor or camera using the 5-pin USB and 4-pin AUX ports on the back of the device and monitor and make changes with the onboard touchscreen. This new license model will allow shooters to take control of RED and ARRI cameras with new WiFi camera control licenses.

An All-New Camera Page

Teradek is also introducing an all-new “Camera” Page in CTRL.5 that will give camera statuses and basic configurations. Camera settings will also be able to be assigned to CTRL.5 user buttons for even faster access.

These options would be great for steadicam, handheld rigs, or other jib applications, and the WiFi Camera Control License for CTRL.5 will let shooters make rapid adjustments without breaking their shot.

Users can also now leverage WiFi-based communication protocols to connect directly to your ARRI camera via one of multiple flexible network configurations:

• Connect the CTRL.5 to your camera’s WiFi network
• Connect the camera to the CTRL.5’s WiFi access point
• Or connect both the CTRL.5 and camera to a shared WiFi router, like the Link AX
• IP control can even be used for camera control in remote locations off set
