At first I thought this was a joke, but it is totally cool! I clearly do not have enough items made of wood in my camera bag. :)

Yes this looks fantastic, I suppose you could make the main shaft out of wavin pipe or something to keep the weight down aswell, the focusing handle really makes it class, Your dad is talented. Well done the pair of ye.
