You can never own too many lights. Sure, you might have your essential lighting kit, complete with powerful, color accurate key and fill lights, but when it comes to rim, hair, and accent lights, the more you have the merrier (and more prepared) you'll be. If you're a gear hoarder, or just someone who likes to have a lot of useful filmmaking gadgets around, take a look at this video by Caleb Pike of DSLR Video Shooter. In it, he reviews a tiny LED light that is not only pretty powerful for its minuscule size, but it also only costs $7.

If you're in the market for super cheap LED lights, you won't have to look very far to find them. The appealing things about this light, though, is obviously it's price. For just $7, I'm not all that concerned about receiving a quality product, but to get one that is at least somewhat worth the money is pretty cool. It doesn't have any amazing features, like a dimmer, adjustable color temperature, or even a decent mounting option, but again, for $7, who cares?

It's powerful enough to give you a little bit of illumination where you need some and small enough to put anywhere. I see this light being more useful if you're shooting something more up close and personal, like macro/product videography, stop-motion films, or even a food commercial.

But again, it's not the greatest light in the world. It's tiny, kind of bright, and kind of green, but for the money, I could see myself buying up a bunch of these and using them as emergency lights for when I need just a little bit more illumination on something.
