Canon Offers Two New 4K HDR Displays
Canon provides two new displays for 4K HDR workflow.
Canon is offering two new 4K HDR displays: the DP-V2421 and DP-V1711. The DP-V2421 is a 24-inch 4K display featuring 12G-SDI terminals that deliver high luminance and contrast for 4K and HDR viewing. The DP-V1711 provides the same performance but is a 17-inch display.

Four 12G-SDI inputs/outputs deliver 4K 60p footage on a single cable. This is advantageous due to 3G-SDI connections requiring four cables to transmit the same footage.
Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and Perceptual Quantization (PQ) are both supported along with Canon's log gammas— Log, Log 2, Log 3—along with assist functions for all HDR standards such as waveform monitor. Both displays feature HDR metering that overlay different areas of input images with colors depending on their luminance for easy review.
Canon is also offering upgrade options for the DP-V1711 and DP-V1710 to increase the maximum luminance to 600 cd/m2.
Both will be available in April, with the 24" model retailing at $39,000.00 and the 17" at $18,000.00
