In June, Sigma started shipping its 20mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm Sony E-mount lenses to the masses, leaving us with the 14mm, 70mm MACRO, 105mm, and 135mm still in question. Today, Sigma rolled out the 14mm F1.8 DG HSM, 70mm F2.8 DG MACRO and 135mm F1.8 DG HSM, leaving the 105mm waiting in the wings.

The nine lens set is filling out nicely for Sony Alpha shooters since its initial announcement in February 2018. While we haven't had a chance to put them through any tests, Sigma does say that the lenses offer "the same high-performance optical design as other lenses in the Art line." If that's the case, filmmakers should find them worth a look.

Inside, Sigma added a new control algorithm to optimize autofocus for quick data transmission speeds. They've also included compatibility with Sony’s Continuous AF (AF-C) and high-speed autofocus, both of which are not part of Sigma's Mount Converter MC-11. Additionally, the lenses work with Sony's in-camera image stabilization and in-camera lens aberration correction, including corrections for peripheral illumination, chromatic aberrations, and distortion.

If you've used the MC-11 converter mount before, the new native E-mount will provide a more stable feel to the lens. All of the lenses use a brass bayonet mount and feature a rubber sealing for dust-and-splash-proof design. Price breakdown: 14mm F1.8 DG HSM ($1,599 USD), 70mm F2.8 DG MACRO ($569.00 USD) and 135mm F1.8 DG HSM ($1,399 USD).
