Panasonic had a big day of announcements during Photokina: A pair of mirrorless full frame cameras (S1R and S1), three new S series lenses, and a partnership with Leica and Sigma to create L-mount technology.

However, the company hasn't forgotten about its popular G series and is set offer firmware updates to its DC-GH5, DC-GH5S, DC-G9, and DC-GX9 by the end of October. Here's what to expect: 


LUMIX DC-GH5 - Firmware Version 2.4

  • Improved stability during HDMI output 
  • Improved video recording performance 
  • Improved operation in specific lighting conditions (neon light, etc.)

LUMIX DC-G9 - Firmware Version 1.2 

  • Improved autofocus 
  •  Improved operation in specific lighting conditions (neon light, etc.)

LUMIX DC-GX9 - Firmware Version 1.2 

  • Improved operation in specific lighting conditions (neon light, etc.)
