In an era where it seems that officers of the law are quicker on the trigger than we'd like them to be (with video games perhaps inspiring and mimicking the more disturbing violence in our culture), this story crosses both over and ends in pure joy.

Cinemablend covers how a couple of guys were making a little too much noise one night and a neighbor called the cops. It turns out that the guys were just playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the cops decided to join them. There is even a brief clip of the guys playing with the cops that they posted over on Reddit.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was already named Amazon's highest selling game for 2018, which is impressive considering the success of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Hopefully, we can get more stories about cops being called on people that end up in a fun night of gaming. Who would have thought violence in video games could begin some of the healing?
