Announced last year, the Aputure LS 300x is a bi-color LED fixture that's part of its Light Storm series that includes the popular LS C300d II and LS C120d II lighting fixtures. The price of the LS 300x will be $1,199 and is available to buy now.

First of Its Kind
The LS 300x is a mixed variable-white light that's easily modifiable. A color-blending optical element sits front of the LED light source and combines the bi-color chipset into one source.
Enhanced Output
With the Fresnel 2X, the LS 300x can produce over 65,000 lux at 1 meter while still providing CCT control at your fingertips. Other modifiers, like the Spotlight Mount or Light Dome II, allow you to spot, flood, cut, or diffuse the light with precision.
Flexible Bi-Color Range
The LS 300x offers a tuning range of 2700K - 6500K, which covers everything from cooler light to tungsten and conventional daylight making it a flexible key light in setups. The fixture offers superb color rendering abilities, with CRI and TLCI scores of 96+ as well as a tungsten SSI score of up to 85 and a D55 SSI score of up to 74. The fixture offers smooth dimming from 0 - 100% and includes 4 dimming curve options: linear, exponential, logarithmic, and S-Curve.
Robust Design
The LS 300x offers a similar design to the LS 300d II, by incorporating the same lamp head design and control box. The 300x also utilizes a full 360-degree adjustable handbrake locking yoke. Like the LS 300d II, it has a silent, passively-cooled all-in-one control box that integrates the power supply and control system into one unit.
Dual Output Modes
There are two output modes on the fixture: a Max Output and Constant Output mode. In Constant Output mode, the CCT can be changed while maintaining a consistent luminance level. As the name suggests, in Max Output mode, the LS 300x will always maximize your output for your CCT and dimming level, with the highest output range being 4000K - 5500K.
In addition to the control wheels, the fixture can be controlled via Aputure’s 2.4G RF Remote, DMX512, or by the Bluetooth Mesh Sidus Link App. With the added range you get from having multiple Sidus Link lights active, the lights can be controlled from nearly anywhere on set.
Sidus Link Ecosystem
The light integrates the Sidus Mesh chipset, providing lighting control from a single app. With the Sidus Link Mesh Network, up to 100 fixtures can be controlled from a smartphone or tablet. Sidus Link allows you to control every aspect of the light’s output, including luminance, CCT, Effects, and even Light Source presets for fast-paced situations.
Built-in Effects
The 300x integrates 9 built-in lighting effects, including paparazzi, fireworks, lightning, faulty bulb, TV, pulsing, strobe, explosion, and fire. Each effect provides adjustable color temperature.
Bowens Mount
The LS 300x is fully compatible with Bowens-S mount, which offers flexibility to change the quality of the light source in seconds. The LS 300x’s Bowens mount can be used with other industry-standard modifiers from brands like Chimera, as long as you have a Bowens mount speed ring.
Power
The LS 300x can also be operated with a single battery for up to half of its maximum output, or 2 batteries for full power. The unit's control box also accurately displays realtime expected remaining battery life. Aputure recommends batteries that support 15A continuous discharge to power the light properly.
