The Daily Mail is reporting that on the first day back to work, a few crew members on Jurassic World tested positive for coronavirus. They say the stars are safe, but that Universal is denying their claim, insisting that production is moving along on the Jurassic World sequel.

Still, Universal appears to have had no comment on whether or not several crew members did test positive.

They spoke with Comicbook.com, saying, “Any reports indicating that Jurassic World: Dominion has halted production are categorically untrue...The production is headed into its fifth day of shooting tomorrow, and we’re thrilled to be back in front of the camera on this incredible project.”

But, Sam Neill, while speaking with a morning show, mentioned the delays.

"They got two weeks done," Neill explained on Fitzy & Wippa. "I was waiting in London for my stuff to start and then it became apparent it was going to close down in a day or two. I got a flight to Perth … made it as far as Sydney … and got into the quarantine thing… We'll start as soon as we can. We're supposed to be in London but it's a complete mess at the moment. I'd like to think that maybe we could start or restart in this part of the world and then finish off in the studio. We're using the Bond stage to build these enormous sets in London. They'd like to use those, ideally, but if nothing is happening there, I don't know when we can get started."

This is the fear of every blockbuster and every indie returning to shoot now. Without precautions, this highly infectious virus could spread quickly and debilitate the cast, crew, and everyone involved.

The production, which is shooting at London's famed Pinewood Studios is soldiering forward. Obviously it's commendable they have these early detection measures, but the risks here are amplified across Hollywood.

The price of reshoots, or delays, and of every safety measure go against the possible profitability. This is the first huge movie to be back, so people are a little on edge.

As they say in Hamilton, History has its eyes on the movie shooting right now...
