Rian Johnson Is Getting $400 Million to Stab More People

According to a breaking report on Deadline, Netflix is lining up a $400 million deal for Knives Out 2 & 3 that will give them the opportunity to show the movie on their streaming app exclusively, with the opportunity to provide a limited theatrical window as well.
This is remarkable for a movie that happened by pure chance, while Craig was on a break from Bond and Johnson wanted to try out his Agatha Christie chops.
While the first film cost $40 million and turned in a global gross north of $311 million, these sequels now have huge budgets to play with. The first movie will begin shooting on June 28 in Greece, and casting will begin immediately.
