Smartphone lens mainstay Moment just released two new 37mm filters: a line of ND filter that runs ND4-ND64 and a Circular Polarizer filter. Both filters work without a Moment lens, using a 37mmm filter mount that fits on the Moment case. Incidentally, any 37mm filter will work with the mount, so as one YouTuber pointed out: get the mountno more gaff taping various filters to your phone!

The two new types of filters from Moment are made from B270 quality with smart coatings, making the glass not only cinema-quality but more hydrophobic and scratch-resistant, as well.

Take a look at this video from Moment where they give you side by side comparisons of footage shot with and without the ND filter.

First of all...why use filters?

There are a lot of paths you can go down to get cinematic footage from your smartphone, and filters are one of the simplest ways to get more control. ND filters allow you to limit the amount of light coming in on a bright sunny day, which therefore allows you to better control the ISO and Shutter Speed of your image. Want to stick to the 180-degree rule? Looking for more cinematic motion blur? On most days outside, an ND filter is what will give you those options on your smartphone. And a CPL filter functions the same for your smartphone as any camera; it tends to make things look a little more vibrant and is really the only thing that will fix frustrating reflections on windows and shiny surfaces.

As a few people have pointed out, it would be great to have variable ND filters at some point, so you don't have to screw and unscrew different NDs until you get it right. But for now, even one ND option can make a huge difference when shooting on a camera sensor.

If you’re a smartphone shooter and this sounds like something that would advance your game, you can get more details and at Moment here.
