If someone were to ask me why I like to watch reaction videos, I'd say, "I 'on't friggin' know! I just do." And damn it, that's as articulate as I can be about my love for them, because, frankly, I don't really friggin' know.

Like, I don't listen to Eminem regularly, but best believe I was watching hours of YouTubers reacting to his epic response to MGK's flaccid diss.

Enter: this video of filmmaker Peter McKinnon reacting to a bunch of Hollywood's most impressive and inexplicable camera moves...

I'm all about it, you guys.

I've watched this thing probably five times back to back because...you know what...maybe I just need a film-lovin' pal, digital though he might be, to ooh and aah with me as I watch these behind-the-scenes videos. Check it out below:

Does anyone else agree that we need more videos like this? I mean, does it teach us much about the craft? Nah. Is it going to make you a better filmmaker? Probably not. But damn, sometimes it's nice to take a stinkin' break from WARK and just...look at how cool it is when other people work.

And it might actually inspire you to try some of these crazy shots. (THERE! I gave this post some legitimacy outside of just gawking.)

Also, if any of you know how some of these shots were done, especially that "tricky mirror scene" from Contact, let us know down in the comments.
