Enter Screencraft's 2013 Action & Thriller Script Contest
If you're finally done with that action/thriller screenplay you've been working on, it might be time to consider entering it in ScreenCraft's Action & Thriller Script Contest. First prize winners get $1,000, as well as exposure to ScreenCraft's panel of judges, including development executives from Lionsgate, Paramount, Sony and After Dark Films. Continue on for more info on how to enter.
ScreenCraft holds screenwriting contests throughout the year that are catered specifically to genre -- maybe you've participated in their comedy or horror contests before. With the entry deadlines steadily approaching, it might be time to finish and/or fine tune your scripts and enter them, if not for the cash, for the consultations you'll receive from a "top action genre film producer" or "top literary manager."
Here is the prize breakdown taken directly from the contest's page.
- First place prize is $1,000 cash + consultation with a top action genre film producer!
- Second place prize is $100 cash and a phone consultation with a top literary manager.
- All Top 10 Finalists will receive a page of development notes from one of our judges.
- Early entry fee is only $29 until Nov. 1st! Final deadline is December 15th.
First and second place winners also receive a screenwriting software package from Celtx, which includes Script for Mac OS X and iPad/iPhone, as well as a 1 year subscription to Edge online workspace.
