First Films Announced for 2015 Toronto International Film Festival

TIFF's 40th festival is just around the corner, and they've announced the first round of films playing this year.

So far it's just the Galas and Special Presentations, and as usual for these kinds of sections, there is plenty of Hollywood talent floating around. Here's a look at what we can expect at TIFF 2015, which will run from September 10th to September 20th:

Of the 15 Galas and 34 Special Presentations announced, this initial lineup includes films from such acclaimed directors as Ridley Scott, Michael Moore, Deepa Mehta, Lenny Abrahamson, Brian Helgeland, Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson, Jason Bateman, Cary Fukunaga, Catherine Corsini, Stephen Frears, Tom Hooper, Hany Abu-Assad, Meghna Gulzar, Terence Davies, Jonás Cuarón, Julie Delpy, Rebecca Miller and Johnnie To.

The list of films is below, and you can find trailers for a select number of films down near the bottom of the page.

TIFF this year is going to be unreal.

Going into my 4th year of shooting for panel discussions throughout the week, so if any of you make it to Toronto in September, come say hey!
