Leonardo DiCaprio Needs Your Help Getting His First Oscar in This Free Online Game

Leonardo DiCaprio -- how many times does the man have to cry and drool and crawl through the mud to finally get his Oscar?

The very talented (and ever-snubbed) actor is up for another Academy Award, this time for his performance in Alejandro González Iñárritu's The Revenant, and if you're like a lot of Leo fans, you might be thinking that the Academy just needs to give the poor guy his award already.

Well, an arcade-style game has surfaced from The Line, a BAFTA nominated animation collective based in London, that allows you to guide Leo through paparazzi, icebergs, and even Lady Gaga. It's called Leo's Red Carpet Rampage and it's free to play online.

Here's a video of the gameplay:

It might appear that Leonardo DiCaprio has been snubbed countless times, but he's only actually been nominated for an Academy Award 5 times all together, his first for What's Eating Gilbert Grape in 1993. However, his unnominated performances in The Basketball DiariesRomeo + Juliet, and The Departed have not only proven his acting chops and solidified him as Hollywood royalty, but have also left a lot of us eagerly awaiting Oscar night for the announcement to finally come that, yes, Leo has finally nabbed his golden statue.

To go on a red carpet rampage with Leo, click here. Good luck! (That goes for you, too, Mr. DiCaprio.)

It is funny that there is so much hype around DiCaprio not getting an oscar, yet Roger Deakins is up for his 13th oscar, and still hasn't won. Goes to show most people don't recognize anyone outside of the actors/directors.

Deakins has been unlucky in recent years, as he has been going up against Lubezki but I do disagree with Chivo's gravity win, that film was 95% compositing and CGI.

But Chivo I assume had a heavy hand in the CGI. I also believe he extensively pre-vis's every movie, no facts to back this up but his work shows it's always well thought out.

Unfortunately, the general public barely even knows what a cinematographer is. Same goes for most production jobs that are not "director." Heck, I know a surprising amount of people who had no idea movie were edited. They had always thought that they were shot in order, bit by bit, and by the end you'd have a two-hour long product.

The guy has all the money, women, and connections to more money, women and connections, isn't that enough??? He is a good actor, and I enjoy many of his films, but I never support any type of popularity contest like the Oscars, besides I think the Oscars used to be about talent. Now its about popularity, political and social agendas.

The Revenant is without a doubt one of the most over-rated movies I've seen in a while. Putting yourself in a crappy situation and then acting doesn't make you a great actor. As someone said to me, if you have to put yourself in this situation to get noticed, then maybe your acting isn't that good to begin with.

I do agree. But not more overrated than Hateful 8.

I don't see why Leonardo DiCaprio should be considered the best actor of the year, not in any of his movies. Best of the year should mean something significant. But I will say, I liked his acting in This Boy's Life.

http://www.theonion.com/article/leonardo-dicaprio-hopes-he-screamed-and-... yeah hope he screamed and cried his way to an oscar as well.... wasn't like michael fassbender the better actor ? ? seriously, get over your teenage crush from BOP magazines. Just because he's a good looking blue eyed white dude, doesn't necessarily mean he's a better actor.
