TIFF, Instagram, Xavier Dolan, and Ava DuVernay Want To Reward Your 60-Second Shorts
The 30 winning shorts will be featured on the TIFF website and Instagram channel.
TIFF and Instagram have announced the inaugural TIFFXINSTAGRAM SHORTS FESTIVAL, a digital shorts competition calling for 60-second Instagram videos. The prestigious jury, which includes Ava DuVernay, Xavier Dolan, illustrator and animator Rachel Ryle, and acclaimed music video director Nabil Elderkin, will select one winner for the Judge's Choice Award and 30 finalists to be shown on TIFF's website and Instagram channel from August 8 to 17. The film with the most "likes" on Instagram will also be eligible for the Fan Favorite Award.
The best perk? Winners will be invited to the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival for a chance to network with filmmakers from around the world.
